EGO Technology Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Vikki Gill as Group Managing Director, strengthening the Group’s leadership team as we enter our next phase of growth.
Vikki officially joined EGO on 1 September 2026, bringing more than 18 years of experience across the waste, recycling and circular economy sectors.
Her career spans strategic business leadership, WEEE and resource recovery, environmental compliance, operational management and commercial development, giving her an extensive understanding of both the technical and commercial challenges facing our industry.
Vikki has a strong track record of leading organisations through significant growth and change. Her experience includes taking a business from start-up to more than £20 million in annual turnover, holding responsibility for a £20m+ P&L and recruiting and leading a team of more than 100 employees within two years.
An established relationship with EGO
While Vikki’s appointment marks the beginning of a new role, her relationship with EGO is already well established.
Over the past 12 months, we have worked extensively with Vikki, with her industry knowledge, perspective and strategic guidance contributing to our thinking, strengthening relationships and alliances, and helping us develop an increasingly joined-up view of the opportunities ahead.
As Group Managing Director, Vikki will bring further leadership and experience across our Midlands and Northern operations, supporting the continued development of the Group and our ambition to deliver a more connected approach to the technology lifecycle.
Strengthening EGO for our next phase of growth
Vikki’s appointment forms part of a wider evolution of EGO Technology Group.
Joint founder Ian Austin will move into the role of Group CEO, continuing to lead the vision and entrepreneurial thinking that have driven EGO from the beginning.
In his new role, Ian will have an increased focus on long-term Group strategy, innovation, strategic partnerships and identifying the opportunities that will shape the future of EGO.
The strengthening of our leadership team comes alongside significant investment in our operational infrastructure.
Later this month, we will officially open our expanded dedicated IT WEEE processing hub in Bradford, complementing our established technology assessment, secure data cleansing and reuse operation in Burton upon Trent.
Together, our growing capabilities enable us to provide customers with an increasingly joined-up approach to technology lifecycle management, from assessment and secure data management through to reuse, recovery and responsible IT and WEEE processing.
Building what comes next
The technology lifecycle industry continues to evolve, and we believe some of the greatest opportunities ahead will come through collaboration between customers, partners and organisations that share our ambition to raise standards and find better ways of managing technology.
EGO has always been built around strong people, deep industry knowledge and a willingness to think differently.
Vikki’s appointment strengthens those foundations and brings further experience, leadership and industry expertise to the Group at an important point in our development.
