Certified data destruction as standard
A standard user-level factory reset does not constitute certified data destruction and does not satisfy GDPR requirements. Ego Technology applies a certified data wipe to every tablet processed, using approved software sanitisation methods that permanently remove all corporate data, accounts, configurations and personal data.
MDM (Mobile Device Management) unenrolment and removal of Activation Lock (for Apple devices) is the client’s responsibility before collection. Ego Technology can advise on this if required; contact us ahead of collection. A serial-level erasure report is issued for every device. Site staff package and return faulty or end-of-life tablets, mobile phones and IT equipment, using a standardised courier returns label. Devices arrive at Ego’s secure processing facility, are logged at serial level, and enter the data destruction and assessment process. No individual collection booking is needed per site.
